Nuclear Physics

 Nuclear physics can be defined as the oriental branch of physics that deals with the nucleus of an atom and its features, constituents, and forces that define interactions. At the heart of this field, there are protons and neutrons that make the nucleus with the help of the strong nuclear force that is able to counteract the repulsive force of like charges observed in projectiles. Nuclear Physics deals with fundamental particle processes like radioactivity where unstable nucleus emits particles and energy through processes like alpha and beta decay and nuclear reactions like nuclear fusion and fission that release a huge amount of energy necessary to sustain Stars and Nuclear Reactors.

There are various areas of utilization of nuclear physics; this has to a great degree influenced several areas like medicine, energy and security. In diagnostics, nuclear techniques include PET scans, and in cancer therapy, nuclear is used in radiation therapy; Nuclear reactors provide low-emission electricity. Moreover, progresses in terms of radiation detection along with nuclear attribution improve security interventions. In general, nuclear physics enhances knowledge on the composition of an atom as well as gives real-life application in today’s society.
